ModuLAN® FaxReceiver™ MFR-201, automatically converts incoming faxes into PDF email attachments
Standalone fax appliance MFR-201 receives Group III / CCITT faxes and converts each document into a PDF, for distribution to e-mail or FTP for archiving.
Ringdale has reinvented the fax communications process with the ModuLAN FaxReceiver MFR-201, which connects to any phone line and Ethernet network and converts incoming faxes into e-mails. This small device is the solution for busy office environments that want the convenience of checking incoming faxes on their computer screens as well as the satisfaction of being able to eliminate unwanted or spam faxes with the click of the delete key.
FaxReceiver's benefits include:
Direct savings by reducing waste significantly, and can produce an ROI of less than a year, based on approximately 20 spam faxes a day @ 0.07 cents per page for 365 days a year, totaling direct savings of US$511 per device.
Indirect savings in efficiency could be even higher from personnel no longer wasting time reading unsolicited advertisements in the fax machine.
Faster communication as the document no longer needs to be collected from the machine but arrives immediately at the administrator's e-mail inbox. Mail servers can be set up to copy more than one person, so e-mails may be picked up while on the move.
Increased security since FaxReceiver can be located in the Telephone or the Computer Room, away from everyday hazards or malice.
Easy distribution as each page is an attachment in the e-mail that can be easily re-distributed or used for input into other applications or archived.
Simplified Archiving by configuring the FaxReceiver to convert incoming faxes to PDF files and forwarding them to any FTP server for secure archiving or distribution.
Very low power consumption and high reliability, as there are no moving parts to be maintained or paper to be supplied. On average only 20% of business communication in electronic format is actually printed out, resulting in further savings.
Choice of PDF or GIF format ensures that the format of the e-mail attachments matches your system requirements. Order the version of product that supports your desired format, MFR-200 for GIF format, MFR-201 for PDF format.
FaxReceiver's PDF e-mail attachments are now iPhone compatible, essentially allowing you to view incoming faxes as PDFs on your iPhone™ -- anytime, anywhere!
The FaxReceiver appliance needs setting up only once and will run for a lifetime without maintenance. Parameters are stored permanently in Flash memory and the power-up sequence is less than 10 seconds. Remote management via Telnet or Ringdale GUI utility with login and password protection allows convenient management in any networked environment such as Windows®, Unix® or Apple®.
